Launching this year is a capsule collection of cushions featuring cold cast metal.
This process for casting our cushions is different from the lost-wax, it is a cold cast pouring technique. a unique application with have developed for 2019.
The metals we have chosen are bronze, gunmetal, brass with nickel silver and copper coming later in the season.
A fine veneer of metal is applied to the surface of the selected leather qualities, creating surface noise through sculptural hand modeling.
The cushions have to be polished just like a bronze sculpture, brushed to remove sharp burrs, sanded with fine grit sand paper through a range of different grits, from 250grit up to 2000.
The final finish is to apply a wax to seal the metal surface, this will preserve the patina and finish the surface with a quiet luster. Metal accessories for the sofa will certainly create a talking point within any interior scheme.
